Terms of Use

By accessing or using PDF Tools (the "Service"), available at pdftools.website and any subdomains, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by VR.CONSULTING Sp. z o.o.

Throughout these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to VR.CONSULTING Sp. z o.o. "You" refers to any person or entity using the Service.

PDF Tools is a suite of browser-based PDF editing, converting, organizing, and signing tools. All file processing is performed locally in your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers.

Key aspects of the Service:

• All PDF operations run client-side using JavaScript and WebAssembly
• No document content is transmitted, stored, or accessible by us
• An account is not required to use free tools
• Paid plans provide higher daily usage limits
• The "My Files" feature stores files exclusively in your browser's local storage

You may create an account using Google OAuth sign-in. By creating an account, you confirm that:

• You are at least 16 years of age
• The information you provide is accurate
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You will notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for prohibited activities.

Free tier: You may use the Service without an account, subject to daily usage limits. Free usage resets every 24 hours.

Paid plans (Pro): Paid subscriptions unlock higher or unlimited daily usage. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis.

• Prices are displayed before purchase and include applicable taxes
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You can cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the billing period
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 14 days of purchase

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice. Existing subscriptions will continue at their current rate until the next renewal after the notice period.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
• Circumvent or manipulate usage limits, authentication, or security measures
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Distribute malware or harmful code through the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission

Since all file processing is local, we have no ability to monitor or control what files you process. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to edit, convert, or otherwise manipulate any documents you use with the Service.

Your content: You retain all rights to your files and documents. We claim no ownership or license over any content you process using the Service. Since files never leave your browser, we never have access to your content.

Our software: The Service, including its design, code, user interface, and branding, is owned by VR.CONSULTING Sp. z o.o. and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.

Feedback: If you voluntarily provide suggestions or feedback about the Service, we may use it to improve our products without any obligation to you.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
• Output files will be identical to or perfectly preserve the formatting of source files
• The Service will meet all of your specific requirements
• Any errors or defects will be corrected within a specific time frame

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VR.CONSULTING Sp. z o.o., its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your use of the Service in violation of applicable laws
• Your infringement of any third-party rights

By you: You may stop using the Service at any time. If you have a paid subscription, you can cancel it from your account settings. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at office@vr.consulting.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activities, or if we are required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination unless immediate action is required.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will survive.

The Service integrates with third-party services for specific functions:

• Stripe — payment processing (subject to Stripe's Terms)
• Google — OAuth authentication (subject to Google's Terms)
• Supabase — authentication and database infrastructure

We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Warsaw, Poland.

If you are an EU consumer, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where practical, notify you through the Service.

Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service.
